On the cover
On the cover of WWD today is this
Gant’s spring collection lead by Michael Bastian. Apparently he used the loves of Ms. Marilyn Monroe as inspiration. Who was this look modeled after? Joe? Arthur? I don’t see it. But I love it. That hat! How come I can’t walk about town with a hat like that without feeling like a Mad Hatter? Lacking practice I think.
Spring 2011 shows are coming up. And there’s all this buzz about what’s what for the coming Fall/Winter. Fashion sure makes it hard to live in the moment. I’m already thinking about coats I want for Winter. The other day I walked into an Anthro and almost walked out with this
as if it wasn’t 99 degrees and 90% humidity outside. What is this industry doing to me.
