FEATURED January 2009
Naomi Kobayashi’s work is so sheer and dreamlike, like how one would depict a daydream. To Naomi, the perfect lazy Sunday Brunch is spent relaxing and eating good food without having to think much. Perhaps it is spent dreaming up images such as these. Her favorite dresses are from Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto: “creative, strong, but at the same time delicate and elegant. They have universal allure that won’t be affected by age or vogue.” Aside from these, white linen shirts are a staple in her closet. When not working on her art, Naomi likes to read short stories. She has a whole portfolio of her favorite writers. Where does she get her inspiration from? Hmmm. “Anything beautiful in any genre.” Fair enough. See more of her work here.
