I stuck through season 3 and 4 like a loyal sports fan whose team keeps losing. But I feel like I’ve been rewarded. I still love Grey’s like I knew I would. *spoiler* They were in a plane crash, Lexi died, Mer and Christina are looking for Derek and Mer is freaking out that Derek might be dead, she asks Mer “Do you think Derek is dead, too??!” and Christina says, “I don’t know, maybe, but I’ve got PTSD so you know I’m no reliable.” Only a best friend would tell you that.

You’ve walked by it a million times and the window dressings always pique your interest. But for some reason you’ve never gone in. Perhaps you’re afraid that you’ll love it too much. Perhaps you’re afraid that it’ll disappoint.

There’s this little jewelry store up the street from us. I can’t say how many times I’ve walked by it, checking out the displays from the corner of my eyes. I’ve never gone in because, well, I don’t buy much jewelry. And it’s such a strange place for a jewelry store, can’t be anything good, right?

Wrong.

And as I recall they never gave me enough!

Well, imagine my pleasure when I discovered this great idea:

Tater Tot Casserole

<br />

Whaaaaaaat? You heard right.

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of celery or cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
  • 1 16oz package frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt & pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Brown ground beef. season with salt & pepper.
  3. Add chopped onion, cook until tender.
  4. In a casserole dish, combine ground beef mixture & cream soup.
  5. Top mixture with tater tots.
  6. Bake , uncovered, for 30-40 minutes till bubbly and Tots are golden brown.
  7. remove from oven & top with cheese, return to oven until melted.
  8. Enjoy!

I’m excited to try this treat this weekend for brunch.

Afternoon tea. I’m enjoying my usual English Breakfast with a generous splash (or 3) of cream. But today I’m having it with some tasty chocolates that M brought back for me from London. We’ve been together 7 years and this is the first time he’s bought me chocolates. So cute I’m smiling from the inside out with each decadent bite, picturing him standing amidst a selection of chocolates, rationalizing which ones I would like best. Adorable.

    And since I’m having a spot of tea and chocolates, I might as well watch some estrogen tv.

    Which has got me thinking.

    Who is more unwatchable? Zoey Deschanel as Jess in the New Girl, or Rachel Bilson as Zoe Hart in Hart of Dixie.

    I’m sure there’s some sort of mathematical way to figure this out. If I were any better at math perhaps I’d figure it out. Factoring annoyance, saying dumb things, bad acting, cute outfits, good hair, bigger fake lashes, etc.

    It’s a hard one. Because both are undeniable cute. And very well dressed.
