Hallooooo, how have I not heard about this until now? But IMDb has it listed as 2011 (and a very sad 4.4). Oh but who cares about ratings. I love Madonna, I love period pieces, and I WANT to see the wardrobe styling!

This clip gives a lovely taste of the movie’s style. Miss Simpson was a very stylish woman, afterall. I’m dying to see the rest of this dress!

Like, it’s giving me anxiety. Our awesome amazing fantaboolous table is arriving in a couple weeks from Savannah and we have no chairs!

This last weekend M and I may have found our chairs. Easy on the eyes, and surprisingly easy on the bum. Surprisingly because M has the worst seated slouch I’ve ever seen.

At this point I’m pretty sure wedding dress shopping was a lot easier than chair shopping has been. And I just don’t want to look at another damn chair. And these look good…right? I don’t think I’ve ever doubt my taste as much as I have with chairs. Who knew chairs were so hard to shop for?

Organic Modernism is woodsy Scandinavian chic but based in Brooklyn. I’m having a couple benches made, and then dinner parties will abound.

Ah, diplomacy. What better way to build foreign relationships than over lace? I can certainly appreciate the women’s taste in undergarments. You’re a lucky man, Mr. President.

Just some window shopping. Except 30 minutes later we ended up signing papers to delivery our new reclaimed Enterolobium wood table (from Thailand) to New York. Unfortunately we won’t get it until mid February, which has been rather torturous. Dropping a bunch of moolah on a beautiful table and we have to wait a month to enjoy it. But that also gives me a month to obsess about dining chairs. I don’t like the chairs pictured here in the showroom. Who knew finding the right dining chair would be so hard. I’m considering having benches made, or sort of DIYing the details of some ready made ones. It’s been a discouraging search.

But here’s the table, we’re so excited. There’s a giant crack at one end, it’s quite something!
