Lure Fish Bar - amazing. Inception - go see it. But by golly if I had walked around naked I woulda still had too much on.

It’s really hot outside. Uncomfortably hot. So naturally my subconscious is thinking about fall and winter. I’m a California girl at heart and this seasons thing is just confusing. When it’s summer I think about winter, when it’s winter I dream about summer. It’s messed up. But at least my subconscious is in tune with the fashion mags because everything on the glossies is wool, tweed and shearling. Very well then. My favorite RTW for fall/winter 2010.

I just watched Niagra (thanks to Gant’s new collection). How pleasantly surprised and impressed was I to see this pink bombshell of a dress? I had no idea they made stuff like this back then. Everyone with their full calf length skirts.  But then again, only Marilyn.

Well. It happened again. We were supposed to find a dress for Schmerica, a long flowing blue dress perfect for the Greek islands. But instead I got myself a second wedding dress. Wait wait, it’s not exactly a wedding dress. It’s more of a dress to change into halfway through the reception since I’ll have been wearing the big dress for 8 or 9 hours by then. But it’s not just a cocktail dress, oh no. This one is fairly substantial. Because that’s just how I roll.

I am pretty excited. So bad, but so awesome.

Is it proper etiquette to keep this a surprise from M as well? Or is he allowed to see it? Here’s a peek…

<br />Gant’s spring collection lead by Michael Bastian. Apparently he used the loves of Ms. Marilyn Monroe as inspiration. Who was this look modeled after? Joe? Arthur? I don’t see it. But I love it. That hat! How come I can’t walk about town with a hat like that without feeling like a Mad Hatter? Lacking practice I think.

Spring 2011 shows are coming up. And there’s all this buzz about what’s what for the coming Fall/Winter. Fashion sure makes it hard to live in the moment. I’m already thinking about coats I want for Winter. The other day I walked into an Anthro and almost walked out with this

Someone whose name rhymes with Schmerica will be having a grand ‘ol time with her head up my skirt tying 19 knots. Lucky Schmerica. I went for my fitting yesterday and put the whole outfit together for the first time. I am most excited about my bustle. I’ve always wanted a giant bustle of my own. Perhaps a result of watching too many Jane Austen films. Those Victorians (and pre-Victorians) were definitely fans of a healthy rear end.
