M ditched us for Paris for a 24 hour Tour de Force. Actually he just went for a work dinner. But like a good (and very smart!) husband, I got my favorite Parisian treat (no, not Princesse Tam Tam lingerie since these girls can’t wear under wire for a while)…. Pierre Herme macarons. Passion Fruit Chocolate is my fav. Pierre Herme > LadurĂ©e in my very humble opinion. Viva le Macaron.

The Mom job is the hardest and most amazing job there is. Did I mention it’s the hardest? So I say this with all sincerity…
Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms, grandmas, aunts, godmothers, doggy moms, etc! Because we wouldn’t be here without you.
Now go get yourself a mani/pedi and a champagne.
M has the baby strapped to him for the afternoon so I can sip on some decaf Cappuccino and read the last installment of the Sookie Stackhouse series. Yes, go ahead and judge me, but this is all I’ve wanted to do and haven’t been able to since the little stinker was born!
Enjoy your day, moms.

Lululemon has done for spandex what Nike could never do…made it a fashion statement. If you told me 5 years ago that women would be buying out spandex pants that cost nearly $100 a pop, I’d have called you cra cra. But not only is Lu selling out all their styles, new designers are getting on the fashion spandex wagon. My sister in law introduced me to a line called Michi (amusing for us because M’s pet name in German is Michi)…
Makes your butt look good while you work to make your butt look better. I like it. As much as a pair of designer jeans, but as Lulu has proven, Spandex can go anywhere, not just the gym.

My favorite jacket in 1993 was neon green with bright purple sleeves and neon pink cuffs. It was made of that crinkly thin running pant material that was so popular in the 80s and early 90s…it also made a lot of noise…swish swish swish. Only made it that much more fun when I would do The Chicken or rub my hands over my belly really fast just to annoy my brothers.
Having been in NY the last 9 years, it’s interesting to see not just color but NEON color make a real comeback to the town that is known for wearing black. I’m seeing bright color pants, shoes, bags, accessories everywhere from old navy to Michael Kors. I think the trend started cautiously with sneakers from Nike and the like last year. Am I wrong?
Personally, I’m a fan. But like all things…moderation! As much as I loved my jacket, it’s best kept in 1993.
Jessica Alba is doing neon well, and just about as much as you can do at once. But then again she’s Jessica Alba so she can do whatever she wants.

While some people may not appreciate monkeying around, it is greatly encouraged in the Kasper household.

Monkey has become L’s favorite little friend (aside from his big brother Mega of course). And is quickly becoming my favorite little friend, too, as he occupies the little nugget long enough for me to use the potty, stuff lunch in face or clean up Mini’s vomit.
