Adventures in Engrish

I was jonesing for some hot pot Saturday. So as much as I didn’t want to go to C-town to collect the goods, my need for some soul soothing broth was even stronger. So to C-town we went.

I would never have noticed this if M hadn’t pointed it out (he just LOVES him some Engrish), but this is perhaps better than “Frank Steak” we found a couple years ago.

Does “Sliced Lamp” have less calories than sliced lamb?

“Frank steak”? Shades of Sweeney Todd? Not necessarily a typo at all!

But assuming it was a typo, what should it have read? (“Sarah steak. The organs were obviously female.”)

  2. M Says:

Curiously the Frank Steak was found at the same this picture was taken. Wonder what they’re up to there…?

Compared to what actually is served in China, I suppose I would rather eat sliced lamp (or missing person) than boiled cardboard. Ah, my people.

No, really: what is Frank steak?

it’s supposed to be Flank Steak

  5. Pierre Says:

    Frank’s flank?

Frank Steak will always be the winner. Grandfathered. I mean the search was over at that point.
